Penn Masala, the world’s first and premier South Asian a cappella group, was formed in 1996 at the University of Pennsylvania. With seven full-length studio albums and sold-out performances at universities and venues across the globe, the group has successfully pioneered South Asian a cappella. We’re not done yet. Every day, we strive to raise the bar, whether that be through improving the innovative blend of Western and South Asian music, spreading a cappella to South Asia, or using our music to benefit the community. We remain eager to leave our mark on the world.

Our albums, ordered by release date, are Awaaz, 11 PM, Soundcheck, Brown Album, Pehchaan, On Detours, and Panoramic, as well as a compilation album, Out of Stock. Also, we have performed for A.R. Rahman, Mukesh Ambani, Sachin Tendulkar, Lakshmi Mittal, Anderson Cooper, Ban-Ki-Moon, and President Barack Obama, among others. Check out our Wikipedia page for more information.

Special thanks to our fans, families, friends, and alumni!
